Braiding With A Twist is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing teens for life through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world skill development.

 

From the founder’s vision, Marlo Jenkins created a free 10-week braiding program to offer 100 at-risk teens ages 11-17 the opportunity to learn braiding skills and participate in workshops on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, nutrition, and healthy foods, health and self-care, and mental well-being— all opportunities that Marlo missed growing up as an impoverished teen from South St. Pete.
